Suppressed

What happens when the weight of power crushes not just bodies, but rights? Suppressed captures a fragile figure—perhaps dead, perhaps exhausted—beneath the partially hidden word “RIGHTS.” Above, faceless legs march upward, symbols of unchecked authority moving forward without consequence.

Where does justice reside when silence is safer than speech?

Etched in dark, raw textures, the work evokes protest, pain, and neglect. A passive cat in the window watches without reacting—a stand-in for society’s detachment. Is this resignation, or complicity?
Can we afford to look away—and what happens if we do?
